New Guy, Need help!!
you would be correct in your guess. . .National Guard to get more specific, I am also a Civilian Technician for the guard, A.K.A. job where I sit on my keester and collect big bucks for doing nothing
so you want a 04.5-05 4x4, stick or auto would be the first question
here are some classified adds that warrant some looking into TDR classifieds
DTR classifieds
Diesel Ram classifieds
in terms of options, it is all of what you would like, the Quad cab is nice, and at time I would like the room of the mega cab

Well I definatly want the quad cab, not the regualr or mega cab, thats just too big for me. Im probably going to go with the shortbed to, I think it makes more sense for me. Ill probably go with the Auto trany simply because i drive a stick now and im sick of it, and from your other post I got the idea it would be better.
Drew I have a question. If you had identical 3rd gen Cummins (610 lbs torque), would you deliver the same amount of torque to the wheels with an auto tranny and stick? Or would one get the power to the wheels better?
hey dude..welcome do DF!
Marine Corps huh? nice choice... i just got out of the Corps... im a Sgt (once a Marine always a Marine) and i was a Aviation Ordnance Technician.. worked on F-18's out of Beaufort SC.. got a backseat ride in one of them things... out of this WORLD!!!!!
anyway... between a gasser and a diesel is a tough choice... . in your situation and your upcoming plans... youll be traveling alot... most of the pilots in my squadron..while going through flight school and there some 4 years of training to fly bought RVs and or campers b/c it was financially a good idea... not sure of alot of details but thats what they told me when shootin the sh*t with them... (airwing relationshop between pilots and there mechanics is unusual compared to the ground side of the Corps)
if i had the chance and the extra cash to play with id get a diesel... just cause turbo is friggen awesome!
anyway .. have fun and good luck at OCS..heard its a b*tch

Well Semper-Fi Sgt. I know about the once a Marine always a Marine thing, my father and brother were both former active duty Marines. My nephew is also in now I think he just did recon indo or got accepted to go do recon indoc. And yea OCS is gunna suck, but im just keeping my eye on July 7th, OCS graduation haha.
Ive pretty much decided on the diesel. Now its just about finding one and one that I want with the right color options ect...

Ive definatly thought about it and still am. But I dunno, I got to fly the T-34 trianer and the CH60(I think, it was a big *** choper) and I wasnt too thrilled, i think id rather be in some sort of combat arms on the ground, Leaning twords infantry and tanks at the current time, but then again my decision is made for me at TBS.
