He brings up a good point indy... That is kind of a low MPH for a 12 second 1/4 must make most of your power on the low end of the track...
You are right, slow traps for me. I would love to run in the conditions you mentioned. Track I race at seldom sees humidity below 75%. Day of my 12 second pass, there was a strong direct headwind(see/hear video on my site) 58-60degree temps, 95% humidity and the baro was mid/hi 29". Heard someone in the pits mention 2400' corrected elevation. I was running only a stock computer. It liimited rpms and mph and topped out overdrive just at the traps. Because I have 392speedo gear but 418final with the slicks the pcm thinks its going faster so it was maxed at 102mph. 2 weeks earlier I was running the MP PCM and SMT6 piggy back tuner but for some reason it was stalling at the line and misfiring the length of the track. Got a bit better when I advanced the timing back to -4degrees (have to retard mp pcm under boost or detonates) but didnt want to go more so called it quits. Ran a best of 13.81 @ 103.4mph. Figure no limiter and no headwind it would of knocked .2 off ets and added about 5mph to trap speeds.

RM_Indy--

you where sayin that 3.55s and 33s would hurt a quarter mile time. how much would 4.10s help that? significantly or just a little?

410s w/33s would be a little bit faster than 3.55s w/30s would be

I love the track down here it is brand new and hooks like none other I have ever seen... which is not a big deal with the truck but it helps when I run the Vette. The conditions I ran in are not common here either thanks to the Gulf of Mexico. I knew that MPH sounded low... I ran a Dakota one time in the mid 14's and was around the same MPH... I have found that humidity is MUCH more important than temp. though...

Well I bought that truck used at a Chevy lot(why someone would trade for a Chevy I don't know) but I had it out on the quarter here and ran 96-100. And raced at buddy of mine and he has a 95 1500 2x4 like mine except his is automatic. I out ran him and my time then was 97. the only thing that I really know that I have is dual exhaust(which is a given) and a performance chip. How big I don't know. But my truck will run like a bat out of hell. LOL.
