Default Cat

When my truck idles i can hear a rattle, i went underneath and it is coming from the cat, the sound sounds like there are a few bolts in there loose. Does this mean my cat is on it way out??? When i got under there i tapped it with a baseball bad, well kinda hit it, and it sounded like the rattling stopped for a while. Also what is the dimension coming off the y-pipe to the inlet to the cat, and i have stock exhaust and was gonna put a flowmaster 40 on it and was wondering if i should get a bigger internediate pipe, between the cat and muffler??? Oh ya and the muffler is gonna be what ever size the intermediate pipe i get for the inlet and dual 2.25 for outlets. Also, what is a good hi-flow cat, magnaflow???

Thanks

You're gunna get the same answer I got from DC.[:@] Your Ram isn't part of the extended cat warranty. Mine does the exact same sounds. I can hear it rattling around when I'm at a drive-thru. Baseball bat eh.

Thats okay, i do not care about the warranty, i want a hi-flow cat anyways, i think i am just gonna do my whole exhaust system soon anyways. I think i am gonna go with the magnaflow y-pipe and cat because i do not have a welder and i think its like $120 or something, so i figure that is probably cheaper than buying a cat and getting it welded up.
