Dodge crankshaft questions...
I'm working on a project right now trying to mate a Magnum 5.2 out of a 94 Jeep to an older Dodge NP435 tranny.
I was told that the small block Mopars that came with an auto transmission would not mate to a manual tranny due to the crankshaft. I was told that the input shaft of the tranny would have to fit into the crankshaft a bit and the automatic engines do not have this hole on the crankshaft. Is this true on all small block mopars or just older models? Looking at my engines crankshaft, I have a space where I can fit just about my entire finger in.
