Default oil pressure gauge

well i was driving home from a job today after doing some really light wheeling and my oil pressure gauge was all over the place. scaired the **** out of me. i dropped it down a gear and reved it to like 3,000 and it hovered around 40 psi. it was weird because it was fine at idle too. you think i might have a problem or is the gauge craping out because it went all the way to zero and stayed there a few seconds but no warning lights came on. im fixing my plenum tomorrow because its shot. i just wonder if its totally gone and that had something to do with it. i hope.[sm=headbang.gif]

Mine hasn't worked right since I got the truck. It doesn't really move ever, just sits at about 66%, even when the truck is off... Don't know what I'm supposed to see exactly..0 when it's off?

have you guys tried a new sender? I wouldn't think they'd cost too much for our trucks.

Pretty much either the guage, sender, or the pickup is glogged. [&:]
