Default Give me a couple ideas...

Ok... so im not gunna be driving for the next 3 months due to my license being suspended, and i figured im gunna save around $1,200(woulda been spent on gas) and i just wanna know what mods i should do...i have a 99 1500 w/ a 360 completly stock

Tonight I ordered a Flowmaster Super 40 series w/ 2.5" in and dual 3" outlet which will be necked down to 2 1/4"and prolly in a month im gunna get both diffs flushed, along w/ my transfer case, and that will be around $300 from the dealer

Im just wondering what other mods i should get w/ the cash i will have saved

Well... all ya have to do is read a few post here... LOTS of info for you.

If you ask me... get a Hypertech PPIII and a Fastman TB.
Those 2 will make a big difference to start ya on your way.
Hope this helps...

Dave

Unless you like giving money PLEASE tell me your not gonna fork over $300 to the dealer to change some fluids [&:] Save yourself like $250 and do it yourself. Its one of the easiest things you can do.

We can explain it if your not sure how to!

First pull out your 360 and send it to me and I'll send you my stump ripping tourqe monster 318 Get a cold air intake and and the fastman

If it were up to me I would take the 1200 and put a new cam, heads, and ignition into the truck

i think it would be hard to ring out heads cam and ignition out of 1200 bux..unless you find some hella deals

like said above..for retail you could prolly get a CAI, TB, a PIII and maybe an exhaust and that would be a great start

$1200 bux...? Start by getting new heads. at a minimum, get the HD bare castings and build them with stock parts, you should be able to get it done for about $800 bux... Or you can buy a pair from Hughs Engines ready to bolt on. Then you can get a cam and timing chain.

Do the basics 1st to make your motor solid, then start the mods to it. If you want to cut your intake down now would be the time to do it. You dont mention if your truck is a QC StdCab 2x4 or 4x4 etc... that will help with intake recommendations...

Remember guys... the stock heads are junk! the timing chain is junk! get those 2 fixed (if $ is avaialble) 1st, then start on mods...

my opinion anyway...
