Default Tinkering around

It was a halfway decent day so I decided to go out and tinker around with the Ram. All kinds of little things to do. Wire looms and new convoluted tubing to run. Do the wire looms and start on the easier tubes, looks pretty good in yellow I think. I want to get some blue goodyear hoses to go with it. All the time I'm doing this I keep thinking easy does it this old stuff is britle and doesn't come off too good. I don't want to f something up. While I was doing it I noticed a plastic clip on the fuel rail, and have no clue what it's for, see last pic.

Get all done and started thinking of what schott, racefan, and steve did with their breather, didn't have a different one so I just run a section of hose out so the oil isn't blowing everywhere. Went to cap off the inlet on the CAI and crap no vacum plugs that size. No problem use a piece of hose and a bolt right. No bolt W/F, hah I found a intake plug good to go screwed it in there and put a hose clamp on it till tommorow and I can get to store (nothing is open on Sunday around here).

Get that all buttoned up and think gee I haven't checked the coolant in awhile, so popped the lid off the resevoir and its low. Grab the coolant off the shelf and pour it in, Started her up and reved it up. All full so I let her come back down to idle, dies. W/F!! Run around start her up and sounds like crap. Gave it some gas and bang, backfires through the TB, crap CE light on [:@]so I shut it down thought it didn't like the breather being unhooked, or I moved a spark plug boot when I put the looms on. Go get the reader, P0123 TPS "SOB" what did I do? I unplug it test the volts from the PCM, all good. So now what, maybe I bumped it putting on the tubing to one of the other sensors! Plug it back in, start, runs great, clear code, go for ride, Yeah no code. Left it running and popped the hood and wiggled the pigtail UH-OH it's pretty loose, so I guess I will have to find one. So with the breather unhooked it runs better and seams to shift better also. Two thumbs up you three!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley20.gif] Then I start to think about the fan, could mine be bad start her up again, low and behold my fan is spinning. Can we all say bad clutch children!

Now what can I do? Heay I been wanting to take off the hitch receiver, so out comes the the air tools. Two hours later it's off (don't ask why two hours) Well ok it got cold out and I'm a wimp when it comes to the cold. Not real, I had to keep warming my hands up form the air tools you know how it is. That and smoke, and pepsi brakes. So now the truck is what a hundred lbs lighter and this thing is now sitting in my garage. Anybody want it? Get all done and think to myself why the F did I come out here and start to tinker, it only bring bad things. Well at least I have gotten some little things done and got a jump on it before it gets warm out. Oh and I got some pics too. All in all it was a good day!
