If I buy a used overhead console for my 99 Ram with the led display, will it hook up to exisiting wiring harness or do I need some other parts to go along with it?

 

umm that depends....what year are you planning on getting it from? if you get one from anouther 99 it should be the same. i know there is a cupple types if consols but i dont know what years they corraspond to

 

I plan on getting it from another 99 but my console only has the lights in it.

 

i think there the same then however to be safe get the outher end of the plug (the pig tail from the other truck) im asuming your getting it from a jank yard or something

 

I havent tried a junk yard yet, I was watching one on E-bay that is used. That would be a good question to send the seller.

check around and search, but alot of people say they quit working after a while anyways. are you sure you want to go thru the effort? my 97 overhead console only shows temp, the computer part quit working. even at that, the temp is not correct either.

 

ahh i see he wants to upgrade...well i dont know if youll have the sencers for the temp and mpg

 

Yea, I should just be happy with what I have and maybe spend the money on shocks instead, lol.
