Default finger tight!!!!!

so my 4wd shifter has felt kinda clunky.
and the dealer I bought the truck from, did not even try to detail the truck. it was a mess inside.
so today I pulled up the 4wd boot to see what went into taking off the shifter so I could clean the boot/shifter.
The bolts that hold the shifter on, were so loose I undid them with a loose finger grip.
guess that solves the 4wd problem

can I use loctite on these ???

Dont know if you can use locktite or not but there are different formulas available, just make sure you dont get the strength that requires a torch to remove, lol

you can use the locktite as long as it doesn't come into contact with any fluids aka tranny fluid, gas, that kind of thing.

locktite is a funny thing, people think you need to coat the bolt with the stuff you really don't even need a drop of it. barely any works just as well as dipping the bolt in it.

agreed, if you look at most bolts that come with a form of loctite on them on most products, there is just a light strip of it down the side
