Default 2nd Gen Aftermarket CD player, who makes what?

I have a Pioneer DEH-P47DH, its okay, doesnt have all the bells and wistles im used to, but it works, and I was able to get one up here.

I get alot of people taking double takes when they first see it becasue, well no one else has them up here. I also have an Alpine CDA-D855, which has issues working after about 15-20 minutes, the sound cuts out, or I would use taht one.

I know about Pioneers, they have the 45, 47, 50, 65, 77, 85

Alpine has the 852, 853, 855, 857

Who else out there makes a deck to fit the din and a half hole?

Thanks

You can just get a dash kit and use any deck. The dash kit wont cost more then 20 dollars.

I have used the dash kits, and never really liked the looks. With the bigger deck, people dont know what it is, it looks stock if your not looking, and who is going to waste there time stealing a stock deck, well acutally there probly is people who will....

Yeah people will steal anything. I had a 10 year old cassete deck in my car and they smashed the window and took it. And i do agree with you about the look of the dash kits they look horrible.

Try searching here, http://www.crutchfield.com/ Under car audio & video, top left tab, Find what fits my car. A toll free number check out what you like and call.
I have a eclipse deck in mine with a small adapter bracket to bolt it in. The face trim covers it.

Our drink holders are not good for the radios.

personally i always hated installing din and a half and double din decks... i think a nicely installed single din deck with the right dash kit makes the world of difference.. and when you stick to abnormal sizes like double din and din and a half aftermarket decks ,, your limited to all the bells and whistles and manufacturers

i got a panasonic 9800U... the thing is prolly the BEST deck ive ever installed or owned myself... itll do everything you ask it... im sure the newere models have more better controls.. ie when i bought this model it was a few years back (bought it from the audio shop i installed for) and serious and xm werent that big then... but it has an aux in so i could put in sat radio if i chose to....

crutchfeild would be the best start to look for something newer..but i wouldnt pay those prices... you could shop around and find better deals!!!
