Firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2

Looking down on the cap on the PASSENGER side there is a hold down screw
The terminal to the front of that screw is #1 and you go CLOCKWISE.

Thanks that helped a lot and the truck is running awesome. Didnt think some new MSD wires and new plugs would make a difference. The ones i pulled out from the previous owner are those weird Bosch 4 electrode plugs. Thanks!

I feel cheated now I didn't notice a differnce when changing to MSD wires. I had Champion plugs and stock wires before this. I think mine just wern't too bad before.

Im at 105000 miles with stock wires and those cr*p plugs that were probably replaced back at 30000. Thats why i think i noticed such a difference.

Is that diagram true for the 5.2L as well? Including the cylinder order. I thought cylinder #1 was on the passenger side.

Nope...#1 is on the driver side.

That diagram is true for the 318 (5.2L), which also has the same firing order.

Gotta watch the routing so as not to create a misfire. There was a TSB for the 5.2L engines a while back. Check out this link and print out the instructions.
