I have a 1999 Ram 1500 quad cab, 5.2, 110,000 miles, auto trans. It doesn't want to shift into 3rd until the tranny warms up (about 3 or 4 miles or so.) After that it seems to be ok. I made sure the fluid was good. Should I get it checked out or is this something I can figure out myself? Thanks

 

There are two shift solenoids in your trans it's possible that one is not working correctly untill its warmed up. A trans shop or dealer should be able to check the solenoids for you with a scanner.
