Default Mystery question???????

Okay everything I have read says to de-carbon the combustion chamber after doing the plenum pan gasket----no where have I read exactly how it is done or how to do it, they mention types of cleaners like sea foam etc, but how do you actually use this type of stuff????

again thanks in advance.........

Tim

i gotta do it to... people that have used it SWEAR by it ... makes the motor run like sh*t at first but does wonders...

also trickling water down an open tb (aircleaner/airhat off) works well to ive heard... old farmers trick to use the steam created to bake off the carbon..... thats why im still pinging after the plenum fix and a 180stat...i havnt cleaned out the chambers yet

I used sea foam on my old chevy. Just poured it right into the carb. I have read guys that have fuel injection pour it through the brake booster line so it gets more evenly distributed to all of the cylinders. Smoked like hell for a few minutes after I put it in. Seemed to idle a bit smoother after I did it. I would advise changing your oil and at least checking/changing plugs after because it can foul them.
