Question on stock speaker size and location
Ok where are they and what size are they?
I have some higher end speakers that i could swap out but i want to make sure they are the right size before i take any thing apart. I don't see any in the back of thecab so are they buired in the dash?

GenII Ram you should have 6x9s in the doors and 5.25s out back

yup, thats right, the ones in the back are on the side behind the front seats down low. I put high end 6x9's in mine as well as two high end tweets inside the vents (hidden) up front. I don't have an extended cab so i left the 5.25's alone and turned them off. My 2-10" subs sit up next to the sidewalls in the back compartment so there is no point in having speakers in there anyways. Amp left in between the 2 boxes behind the middle seat. Sounds amazing.

on the infinity system in my 99QC the amps are mounted on the 6x9's in the front door. they control each side of the car, based on which sides 6x9 they are mounted on....
