I ran Seafoam in the crankcase for ~500 miles, pulled the plug and let it drain until there wasn't even a drip coming out, and filled it back up w/ Mobil 1. I have had no leaks at all. I did notice that the oil pressure runs slightly higher. I was going to go Amsoil, but that stuff is such a PITA to get. There is a distribution facility in town, but it's a 20-30 min. drive.

mopowar did it correct. any engine flush (sea foam is good), and then add the mobil 1.

as an added point, man didnt make syn. lubes as a substitute. it is made to outperform dino oil and longer change intervals are stressed. i ran bg 0W30 in my old truck at 15000m. intervals, engine was still clean, no leaks, good pressure.
