Default think i have a clutch problem

well it rained last night when i was coming back from my girlfriends house.. and i thought i'd mess around alittle bit so leaving the red light i layed on it.. spun 1st real good and shifted into 2nd.. but 2nd gear didnt spin it just slowly took off.. which was weird because usually i can spin 2nd for a good 200 feet when its wet out.. but when i got to the next redlight i smelled burnt clutch hardcore.. and lately its been feeling like the clutch slowly engages when i let it up now instead of going right in gear.. is my clutch going out or maybe it just needs adjusted?

5speed? usually when you can smell the clutch it means its toast. its really toast when it takes 10 mins to monkey with the clutch and shifter to coax it into gear... i dont know much about these 5speeds... but a clutch is a clutch right?
