Help! keep blowing wiper fuse!
Ok, I have a '94 dodge ram 1500. and well, one cold night here in wisconsin my wiper blades were frozen to the windshield. I turned them on, not knowing they were froze down, and then shut them off right away realizing my mistake. then the next day the wipers would not work, i checked the fuse.... blown. so, ok, no big deal, got some new fuses and as i was putting a new one in it sparked and blew that fuse out to, and the truck wasnt even on, nor were the wipers, so.... i tried again, with a bigger fuse, same thing. so here i sit with no wipers and can't hardly drive the truck, it sux, i love the truck but can't drive it in the rain/snow/mud. which also sucks, becuz i have a suspension lift and 33" dunlop mud rovers, and always take it out once in the spring just to drench it in mud... ok.. anyways, just wondering if anyone knows what is wrong, i dont want to buy a new wiper motor and waste my time putting it in if it is just going to do the same thing again. SO PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP ME OUT HERE!

Did you shut them off with the wiper switch or by turning the key off.
If you turned the wiper switch off but left the truck running they will keep trying to finish their cycle, the motor or circuit could have fried.
If you turned the key off till it was thawed, have no clue.
Disconnect the battery, install the fuse and then hook the battery back up. Might be the motor draw through the circuit while installing the fuse that takes it out. Just remember the wire will arch a little when hooking the battery back up.
