Default anybody go wheeling in central NJ?

i'm starting to get my truck in shape this week (brush guard, 3" lift, 33" baja claws, hi lift jack, 4 6" lights), and i know once i get all this crap on, i'm gonna wanna go offroading. problem is, none of my friends have (functioning) trucks. i wanted to see if anyone on this forum goes out anywhere in central NJ. i live in lakewood, still need a few weeks to get all this crap installed, but its getting nice out and i wanna find some other people to go wheelin with. thanks

Mahwah - Like in north jersey? I live in West Milford, Just off the NY border and we go wheeling around here, but theres nothing to exciting. We have a few dodges, jeeps, and a ranger that mainly go. If thats the Mahwah your taking about, Where abouts? We also wanted to take a trip down to the pine barons, But havnt heard to much about them. Perhaps you can help me out on this a bit? Thanks!

Haha... Well Clinton road is basically just a road through the woods. It used to be better but now is all repaved. Its a nice ride, but not worth the 2 hour drive. I drive it to school every day. As far as jungle habitat, Its pretty cool up there, And there are ways in. Actually we just found a way in through the woods with some nice climbing in my friends jeep and a old ford ranger. But now that the state owns it, its set as a state park and there a little more strict with driving in it. At night they can see your headlights in certain parts from the road, But if your ever around for whatever other reason, than it may be worth chekin out. Theres some old stuff around in there that was pretty cool, but i think alot of it has been cleaned up. Ill have to check it out one day. We are lookin to take a trip to the pine barrons though somtime. How is it down there?
