Default How many miles when you installed shift kit.

I just ordered my transgo shift kit today. 88,633 miles I have had the truck since Dec it had 77,772 when I bought it. It was taken good care of always maintained I had the trans serviced in Dec tech said it looked good no adjustments needed. I just drove 950 miles the other day and started noticing a surge in rpm's 1000 to 3000 and back very rapid iwas in cruise at 2k about 75 mph. I started thinking may be its trying to drop out of OD. Has anyone experienced this. Will the kit help with the pressure increase? By the way I was getting between 14.91 and 15.021 mpg

That would be your tps sensor it is about a $35 at your local parts store. I had the same problem about a year ago and ignored it and then one day it just went nuts and I found my self go from 60 to 90 on the interstate after taking my foot off the gas.

If the guy said no adjustments needed than you just paid him for nothing.

when ever doing a tranny service (every 20k miles) you should do a band adjustment.
