Resorting to a Chevy
Ok here's my scenario;
I recently got married and now have a baby on the way
. With that and gas prices I have resorted to drive my wife's 01 5.3L Chevy 1500 truck[:'(]. I drive up to a 1000 miles a week. My Ram was averaging about 12mpg while her truck averages about 17mpg. Big differance when it comes to gas milage.
Question - I have read serval post on how to improve milage on the dodge, wondering if some of the same will work for the Chevy or any other tips anyone may have?
Thanks in advance for any return post.

you might want to post on a chevy forum for that. we can help with the ram but probably won't get anything for the chev. other than the standard exaust, intake, advice.
Thanks Crazy, just wanted to try the experts here 1st. Not enthused about going to a Chevy forum. Next thing you know they'll want to be friends and trying to get me to put a Cowboy Up sticker in my back window. And before I know it, I will end up on Broke Back Mountain stuck in the mud! I would like to sell the Chevy but that's out of the question. She bought before we started date and still owes 6grand more then it's worth. Not to mention the 2 pages of recalls it has.
