Default Electrical Problem: The worst kind

Got out of class tonight and when I turned on my headlights I noticed the interior dash lights didn't light up so I checked the brightness switch and that didn't do anything. So hmm, I drive it hope and I noticed I don't have any parking lights, front or rear, so I look in the fuse box. Sure enough the fuse is blown so I put another 5A fuse in there and turn on the lights. I saw if burn up right away.

Where o where to start looking...electrical problems are the worst kind and can be a total nightmare!

Any sugestions????

Tomarrow when its light I'm gonna see how much voltage and amps are coming out of that thing. Hope to god I don't have to rip the dash apart....but it looks like I'll have to...

did you change head units? before you check the factory stuff, make sure you check all the connections and electrical changes you made. maybe some electrical tape or something came loose.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the switch for your head lights.

I ripped the dash apart today and I dunno exactially what it was but fixed it. I just resoldered some loose wirers and seems like I'm good to go.
