1500 Fuel Pump

Hello,

95 1500 fuel pump not spinning up. I have traced everything and everything is AOK up to the fuel pump, tested voltages and everything right to the connector that plugs into the pump. Is it possible to give it a charge ( (+)Green/black to (-)Black) and have it start, or does it require signal from anything else?
