Also, should I go with x pipes or h pipes? What would the diff be?

Also, is it possible to make a truck with one cat and a single - dual exhaust have True Duals... I read somewhere that its not legal to do, even with 2 new cats... What alls involved?

its legal if it passes smog test!

them are lookin like a SEXY set of longtubes...im jelous you 2X4'er

us 4X4 fellas are stuck with shorties as of right now

longtubes will require you to run a X or H pipe connecting each bank to equalize the exhaust pressure and to make it sound like an 8 cylinder instead of 2, 4 bangers

running the X or H pipes will require exhaust fabing...welding and bending your pipes..and running some sort of cat system to keep the computer happy unless you can get away with sims... shortes are nice in away since they bolt right up to the downpipes of the stock catts...

hope htis helps JJ,, lemme know if you got more Q's

If you look at the flanges, the picture is generic. Our center ports are siamesed. Close together.

Thanks for the info guys, now i just gotta call around and see if an exhaust shop could do it all for me if i bought the x pipe, headers, 2 cats/mufflers/tips. The only thing i cant do is weld or bend pipe... Maybe i should install the o2 cat and tuck it out of the way before i go in with the stuff?? That way they dont know the diff and I can just say "Yeah i bought the old exhaust off a friend of mine who had an o2 sensor after cat??

I dunno, but for some reason i dont think a muffler shop will screw with putting in true duals unless it came like that out of the fact, but maybe i'm just noid...[&:]

Goto KRC Performance. They got a snapshot of a truck running true duals with cats...Might give you some ideas. He ran the pre o2 in the X pipe cross-over with a problem. You can also run o2 sims for the back one...
