Sport only got its own headlights 99+, so sure, 98's will interchange cause they're the same.

99+ Sport headlights are a 4 bulb system, that requires some re-wiring to install in a non-sport truck.

i bought a sport headlight conversion for my 1996 it did take alittle mod of the fender behind the headlights the hole wasnt big enough so i just cut alittle bit out and they fit fine as for the wiring the kid just pluged into the old headlight connecter and then split it to the 9004s and the 9007s then i had to run a power off the batt and a ground and that was it but i bought the kit off ebay so dont know who made it if you can find that kit again its awsome i think it is set up diffrent though cause all 4 low beams are always on and you swtich it to the highs all 4 highs are on so i dont know think the outer bulb is the high and the inter one is the low normally

Its very doable, lots of people have done it. Also they don't have to be the same year. For example you can put '99 Sport Headlight in a 95, and so on.

Read this:

Heres where you can buy the lights (eBay is cheaper though) and this site also has the needed wiring harness.

Outer is high and low, inner should be high only if wired as from factory.
