I noticed a little gunk on my throttle-body butterfly, so I figure there's gotta be more down there.
Are those cleaners safe to use? Any better than others.

can probally just use that carb and choke cleaner.. gum-out i think is what its called.. i use that to clean my injectors.. stray it in the air intake at around 2,000 rpms

Best way to clean it is to take it off. Not that difficult - and you can take out the sensors and get ALL of the gunk out of the holes. Especially the Idle Air Control motor on the back of the TB. I use Gumout spray carb cleaner......

Ya, remove it before you clean it. You do not want to be washing all the gunk down into your intake.

Yes, i agree take it off. I use seafoam carb and throttle body cleaner though. That **** works wonders.

Be very Careful with the sensors. Before you clean the throttle body you need to remove them. You can clean them with a tooth brush and light pressure.

I get my seafoam products at Autozone, or in your area it could be called Advance Auto Parts, anyway they are the same chain...
Record Breaker
They're the same chain? Cause here we have an Aadvanced Auto and an Auto Zone....? Why would they do that? Thay're like 5 blocks apart too.
