Default LITTLE HELP *with dodge ram 1500 sport*

Hi, this looks like an alsome website. Okay my moms BF and I have this 01 Dodge Ram 1500 V8, its a sport. Were going to be making it able to go up a mountain ( on a trail with alot of snow, mudd, rocks and pot holes ) by are house. SO we need to do some work to this truck, its going to be going thru about two feet of snow. Were thinking about puting a lift (about 5 inch? ) on it. I was wondering how hard it is and how far the truck needs to be in the air to do so. Also i was kinda re-thinking the truck, its a xtended cab with a short bed box, is it too big for trail riding? I dont really thing it is.
I was looking at lift kits and didnt really see one for a Sport dodge.

I was also wondering if the axle alinment and and drive shaft would still line up.

Thanks

* I don really know where this would go in the forums soo.. i just posted here. sorry ( mods ) if it goes somwhere else just tell me and I'll know for later*

ok it all depends on what kind of trail riding your going to be doing. let me alittle about the condition your going to be going through. I have a 5in lift and love it. not really much i cant do. I would do a 5in lift and some 35's. good tires really mean everything so consiter that. as for driveshafts and such. you will need to get it re aligned after the lift install and the driveshafts will be fine until about 7+ inches of lift. you can check out my gallery to the left. ( little camera icon) has alot of picks of my truck. let me know if theres anything else i can help you with.
