i have a 1996 cummins with 330 injectors, and the fuel plate all the way forward... i also have put an hx40 hybrid turbo on it and just recently it started to die on me. when i try to start it when the engines cold or warm, it just cranks and cranks until i touch the throttle and it will start right up. before this problem started it would take 1-2 cranks to start depending on how cold it was outside. it also dies on me whenever i take off from a standstill, even in first gear. i can keep it running when its cold by keeping on the throttle and when i take off i have to give it throttle... i already replaced the fuel lift pump and fuel filter...that didnt fix the problem. its only got 200,000 miles on it and the injection pump only has about 30,000... so im completely lost!!!! help me!!!!

 

The IAC motor maybe? I'm sure CTD's have IAC's too don't they?

 

yea.. got a tb.. got an intake plenum..

i think the guys over in the deisel section might be of some help
