Okay I got another question for you guys. I am putting on 2 inch spacers and new front shocks and I can't get the bottom "flag nut" off. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks.

 

there is a tab on the nut. So you have to put the socket on the bolt and not the nut. the tab will prevent the nut from spinning

 

yep its pretty easy, i think the bolt u gotta turn is facing the front of the truck, then the tower should pull out once it is disc.

 

I got the son of a buck off. Well me, my buddy, and a 12 inch steel pipe on the socket did. It took me and my buddy both pulling on that sucker and FINALLY it budged and made a really loud screech sound. I don't think the shocks had EVER been changed and the trucks got 146k on the clock. WHew! I'm tired. I put 2 inch spacers in also. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can. Thanks for the replies!

 

I think you'll get that "cadillac" ride if its got that many miles on factory shocks![8D]

 

WD-40 or eqivilent works wonders on anything under the truck.

 

yea spray stuff w/ wd40 really made it ez for me i only got 95000 tho
