haha nice man, i cant wait. im going to a truck show in PA that has a burn out contest and im going to smoke my old tires until they explode and dont worry ill get it all on video for us to watch. so im guessing you have an LS and you were holding the brakes or do you have a line lock like me?
Stock anti-spin differential with 4.10s

Tires are All-Terrain Liberators (they came on the truck). I don't like them...I wanna get some Bridgestone Dueler HTs (has them on the front already) but first I want to run the liberators down. This hardly put a dent in their treadlife though....just roughed them up a little...probably from when they dug into the blacktop and spun on the rocks that were at the bottom of the small ruts it made.

No line lock...and it's probably a good thing that I don't. I'd be doing this more often. [8D] I was just holding the brakes lightly. I let off the gas and almost brought the wheels to a complete stop before I took off (and left the stripes). I had done a smaller one earlier in the day...where I tried to "ride it out"....but as soon as I let go of the brakes, the back end whipped around and I almost ate ditch, so I decided to play this one safe. [:-]

Here's another pic someone sent me today...a lot of people have different pics of it, since there was about 10 people lined up watching me do this.

The whole rear axle is completely "gone" in this one. I can't wait till the guy that got video of it gets it on his PC and sends me it. [8D]

oh Travel channel was doing a night on cars, they did vips and ford gt's blech.. but they had this one part on semi trucks.. it did a burn out where you couldn't tell what was exaust and what was burnin rubber.. SUPER SICK!!!!

Didn't rev it up at all. I put it in gear before I started. Just held the brakes and hit the gas. [8D]

hmm... interesting.. i'll have to try that instead. i wonder if you just disconnected the rear brakes if the burnout would be better and less wear on the brakes.

hmm.

i'm analyzing this too much.........

It would be better, but there's easier ways to do that other than disconnecting the brakes. You can get a line lock, like Tani has.

Also, I wouldn't suggest letting go of the brakes while you're still doing the burn out. Maybe it wouldn't matter with the V8, but the v10 apparently puts down way too much torque to be controlable once it's set loose. [>:] I'd like to test that theory again sometime....in an empty parking lot....far away from deep ditches [8D]

Wow man Id love to see video roll on that - awsome desktop wall paper you just made for me at work. thx

I havent seen rubber marks like that in a while.

Hope you have some tires left.

Many years ago when i was a in high school my retarded friend did a smoke show for like 10 min in front of the highschool. He went alittle too long because his tire burst and he could not escape the campus police. They arrested him and towed his car. But the most impressive thing was the smoke rolled in the highschool and everyone thought the school was on fire. Like 8 huge fire trucks responded. Was a fun day.

I haven't been in a second gen ram yet where the back brakes did a damn thing. Just stand on the brake pedal, mash the gas, and modulate the brake till you get it goin the way ya like it!

yeah just power brake it.. hold the brakes enough to hold the truck still and mash it.. then let up on the brake when it gets going.. i have a manual so i just rev it up and drop the clutch.. but i'd like to try power braking it soon.. kinda hard with 3 pedals [:@] next time it rains where you are find a nice size parking lot.. roll about 10 mph and just punch it and cut the wheel to the left.. see how many donuts you can do i did 16 lol.. what a night
