Safety Recall Notice


WHY WE ARE TAKING THIS ACTION

K&N has discovered that the air delivery tubes in the covered kits, which were produced with either polypropylene or super linear polyethylene, have durability problems that can cause pieces of plastic to break away from the tube. Those pieces of plastic could enter the vehicle engine, where they could possibly cause the throttle to become temporarily jammed in the open position. This could potentially lead to a loss of control, which could result in a crash. Therefore, K&N is offering replacement air delivery tubes made with cross linked high density polyethylene, at no charge.

Well Im sure someone will get some use for this. sorry for repost.

I did go out and check mine and it was ok. I bought mine a year ago.

 

k&n sent out a new tube today mine was alll cracked inside...

I just took a quick look and my tube is cracked at the hold down bolt. damn it. will have to check it all out and see if im covered. Thanks for this info

 

HAVE THEY REVAMPED THE SYSYTEM BECAUSE I PLAN ON GETTING ONE NEXT WEEK?
