Just wanted to say HI! I'm a diesel newby. I just bought a '99 3500 Dually w/ 5.9L I6 with 139000 miles on it to pull my 5th wheel and boat. Everyone kept telling me that I would get 13-15mpg with the diesel, which would be a great relief over my '02 2500 5.9L V8 GAS-HOG, with which I got 7mpg pulling my trailer. Is there anything I need to know about a diesel and specifically the '99 Cummins?

I personally don't know much about Deisels, but I think the guys in the Diesel Ram section would help you out alot. I know Steve just bought his new Deisel and loves it! Tons of stuff you can do to it to make it pull even harder.
