anytime i go over 30mph or so, my antenna rattles louder than you can imagine. it is perfectly hearable (is that a word?) over my radio when its cranked up. it drives me insane. i tried seeing if there was a bolt to tighten on the bottom end of it below the hood, but i cant really find one. am i overlooking a way to tighten it? does anyone else have this issue? it drives me insane.

just to clarify, im 99% sure its loose, not broken.... im just lookin for a way to tighten it

I think the entire base spinds to tighten it. Maybe I'm wrong and that was on another car [&:]

 

yea i think your right. audible. haha i was really out of it.

yea i tried that. doesnt seem to work. i keep fiddling with it trying to find a way to tighten it, cant really find it[&:]

 

it should just simply have a six sided bolt like head on it. that's how you tighten it. if that's tight then the mount is loose. had to tighten up the parent's chevy antenna numerous times...

 

what if you take it all the way out, put some locktite on it and put it back in? maybe?
