lift and tire and gear question

Default lift and tire and gear question

alright i want to put a 5' lift on my truck with 35's on it.... however my truck is a 318 with teh highway gears i believe.... its also an automatic..... anyway... waht do i need to do to my truck for it to pull teh 35's and all with out hurting anything.... as far as mods go ont he truck i only have flowmaster exhaust 40 series true daul 2 1/2 inch....

Most people say 4.56 for 35's my friend has a 5" lift with 35's and hes running 4.11's and that seems to do fine as well

where can i get these gears... like a 4:11 what compnay sells them.....

if you have an auto matic I wouldnt go with anything other than a 4.56 or 488 gear ratio. If you had a manual tranny the 4.11s would work fine but the autos need the 4.56 minimal.
You can get them from Randys ring and pinion, Drive terrain specialists and DC4wd. Try to get the Yukon brand gears.

remember that your going to have to pay some decent cash to get them installed.

yeah, rule of thumb is $500 an axle.

ouch maybe ill stick to a 3' lift and 33's
