air filter question

Default air filter question

would a cold air intake be worth it on a 1996 ram 1500 or is there some modifications i can do myself to the air box to improve sound, hp, and fuel economy

I'd go with a CIA, pretty easy and if you have an exhaust it can help the engine even more to breath. Theres the K&N which most people have but theres a new one out by Fram. www.framboost.com

yes a CAI will be worth it but you dont need the 300+ doller "bling" intakes! Do a search for home brew intakes. Most consist of a dakota airhat, PVC pipe and a K&N cone filter!

this cost me a mere 100 bucks if I recall right and noticable gains right away!

i ve seen some cold airs on rams and they say it defintly helps and well worth it, just dont buy cheap immatations like on ebay, i mean there ok but i really go with a k&n, they have better quality and sound good to
