ok so i really have no idea what this wire goes to so if any of you know i'd appreciate it.

it's from the stock non cd, non infinity 2001 radio wire harness

My guess is keyless entry.

Did you check the wiring diagrams in the factory service manual?

 

well i looked in th haynes manual and it wasnt' in there as far as i could tell. i hate reading wiring diagrams so i'll have to keep looking at it but i was curious if anyone knew off the bat what it was.

oh and i don't think it's keyless entry as the truck i have didn't come with that.

[edit] well looking at steve's present to us i think the only thing it could be is the antenna relay output but that doesn't make sense as i don't have the premium sound system (didn't but now i do ) and haynes is useless unless you already know what you're looking for so.. i guess i'm stumped. see if anyone else has any other ideas.

it could be one of those built into the harness things that they just don't change but i think it was connected to the stock radio. i donno. if anyone has the stock radio from a 2001 and wants to look for me that'd be awesome as my old stocker is in IDAHO and i'm in Oregon 13 hour drive away.

if you do look i'll love ya for life. i mean that in a friendly way unless well you know.

 

power antenna or an accessory of some sort.... I have alpine so mines blue and pink.
