I am in need of a little help with the Hurst Equipped part of my 1500. I have not idea what this means. I know it has something to do with the gear box but that is it. I asked my local Dodge dealer and they were clueless. All they said was it was to do with the trans. Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Please help!!!![

Hurst was, and is, a big shifter and linkage manufacturer. Back in the day a few auto manufacturers (olds/hurst 442 comes to mind) teamed up with hurst to put an aftermarket shifter in the car at the dealership, and throw on some extra badging. Assuming your truck is an automatic (I think all 1/2 tons with 5.9's are from the factory), it's most likely an owner add on badge or sticker and means nothing. If you do have a stick shift trans, and the shifter is a hurst, you may have some rare dealer add-on (like a copo camaro, or a sox and martin mopar)

Can you post pictures of this? What transmission do you have? I looked hard trying to find an aftermarket shifter and couldn't. You may have an extremely custom job on your hands. Do the indicators line up (prnd21)?ORIGINAL: kearlms
