well ive heard that there is a check ball inside the tranny line somewhere that gets stuck and causes the tranny to go out also in my maintance guide its says flush tranny every 30000 which is done but it also says adjust bands? any help

The check ball is in the pressure line from the tranny to the factory cooler in the radiator. It is in the fitting between the "hard line" from the tranny and the "soft Rubber" line before the radiator. You can take the fitting apart and see if the ball moves with a screwdriver or something similar. I put an auxilary cooler on mine (forum search for tranny cooler install) and before I buttoned it all up I started the truck in "neutral" for a short time with the line in a container to make sure I had fluid flow. I'd suggest changing fluid and filter every 30k or so. Use the correct fluid.
