Fuel Injector cleaner used, wont start
Have had intermittent trouble with my 98' 2500 5.9 starting with the usual quick turn of the key. Replaced plugs, C&R, wires last fall. The longer it sits the longer it takes to start. Last night I decided to buy a few of the "best" over the counter FI cleaner (Cherveron) bottles. Put one in right before I filled up and the other I poured straight downt the throttle body and let sit for 15 minutes and started. Got alot of white smoke when i started it and went away about a minute later. Test drove for 20 minutes and it ran great, going to work this morning and 10 minutes on the road, it dies and cant be started.
Pouring FI cleaner down the throttle body and letting sit shouldnt cause a problem, right? Possible clogged CAT now? HMMM WHAT ELSE? Any help welcome.
Thanks in advance!

You can also try the search function at the top and bottom of the page. That will help you narrow the search to your particular problem. Hopefully you didn't mess anything up by pouring the injector cleaner down the tb. You should use Chrysler Combustion Cleaner or Seafoam in the throttle body. You pour it in with the engine running. Not sure if you did this or not with the injector cleaner. You might want to change the oil soon, since it can get contaminated with the cleaner and carbon that gets loosened up when putting it in the tb.

yea i would check the pump. but im also going to ask you have you checked anything else? maybe something else went out on you. does it have spark? I drove mine and it just shut down on me. turns out the coil broke.
coming home one night from the casino my truck dies. would crank but not fire no nothing. the crank shaft sensor crapped out this controls the fuel timing and pulses. might want to check that . easy fix 106.00 for the part. behind timing cover
Had it towed to a shop ... IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. Just a weird coincidence I guess or I have a dishonest mechanic. Still puzzles me about the whole fuel cleaner and the pump goes bad. Thanks for the help ya'll!
