Default Removing tailgate

Just wondering how you take the tailgate off? Obviously take the straps off. I know on some old Fords you just shift it up and over.
Thanks
Donnie

same way with dodge, one side is round, the other is square.. it should just slide one way and pull off.. .. it needs to be at about a 30-45 degree angle to pull up and outwards

My 94 has a bolt that holds it on as well. Not sure if the 95s do or not.

On my 01, just remove the cables...45 degree angle as said...pass. side pull away from the truck...drivers side then slides off the "post" towards the pass. side...and done. It's not as heavy as I thought it would be, but the size of it makes it a bit akward.
