i just got a 2001 dodge 1500 with the 5.2L in it and i was wanting to know whats the best way to increase my accelaration because its way to slow i got stomped by a jeep loredo with a v6 in it and i need to know if its my truck like problems or if its just the way they are and how i can make it better thanks.

 

Start with your intake plenum. Then get your pcm fixed. If you have a 2001, you have the death flash from the factory. From there, it's all about how much you are willing to spend. Mostly its about getting the motor to breath better, in and out

when you read about the death flash, you will read about how Superchips and Hypertech fix it. They will, but a flash from B&G is well worth the extra 150 bucks. They can raise shift points and get rid of other power/torgue robbing stuff that programmers do not:
