Well People
Okay everyone get ready to yell. I no longer am a 2nd gen owner [:@] [sm=noooo.gif][sm=imsorry.gif]. I couldn't pass this up. An '04 Intrepid power windows, locks, mirror, seats, ac, cruise, tilt, heck my wife can't even lock me in the trunk there is an escape latch. Best part it gets around 30 mpg on highway!! How much you may ask, take a guess come on you know you want to. Oh okay I'll tell ya. Just say under $10,000. So now I will let you guys yell, scream, flip me the bird and if it's too bad to post send it in a pm, but remember I can be a SOB if need be
As far as Indy goes It looks good and hail to our new VP from another land!!! I'll post some pics for yous to droole [sm=drooldude.gif][sm=drooldude.gif]over.

Doesn't it feel like your *** is about to scrape. I had an employee who had a little "brush" with the law. His car was impounded, and my wife and I took my truck to get it. We got there, payed the bs, and decided that she would drive the truck home, and I would drive the car. It was one of the most uncomfortable feelings that I had experienced in a long time. It fealt like I was going to get a big strawberry on my *** at any moment. Anyway, good luck with it. Sounds like you got one helluva deal.
Truck go bye bye
. Sticker was 12,999 and has 50k on it, dealer had bad month only sold 30 some cars and wanted to make the sale (but we all know that story). As far as the ride it is the best I have had in a while the Ram was such a tank every bump I hit flung the rearend to one side or the other.

DodgeRamman, I feel your pain...and also understand your decision.
I used to drive a 2001 Dakota Clubcab Motorsports Edition....and I loved that truck....was great to drive....got great use out of it....and had plenty of room for me..plus it didnt sit too high up. Then came the Katrina disaster and $3.50 gasoline....I couldnt justify keeping her any longer....as it was costing me more money to drive it then I was paying in insurance....and I made the decision to get a car. I still wish I had the Dakota...but I have a nice car that really makes up for it. I get about 25-30mpg in it, depending on the traffic....usually average about 120 miles to a 1/4 tank of gas in my R/T.
Its always the decisions we make with our heads that hurts us in the heart. I'm sure you enjoyed the truck but realized that you had to make a choice like I did. Whether it was the truck was fallin apart or simply gas became a problem you couldnt ignore....
Good luck in your Intrepid....and hopefully she treats you well!
Coincidentally, if you have the 2.7L motor....you may want to be aware of two items....there's an issue with the idle on some of the intrepids...and the sludge monster on the 2.7L motors....

But yeah, the 2.7 has a bad sludging problem (as does the 4.7). The best way to "fix" it is to run an engine cleaner through it and then switch to a full synthetic oil ASAP!
Supposedly the problem was fixed sometime in the 01 model year (with a new windage tray and larger oil passages), but there have been a few that have still lost motors to it [>:]
damn you. thats it, i have one way to really get you back. im sending your wife the picks you posted!!!!!
JK man, sorry to see you go and good luck with the new car. stop in some time.

There is also a problem with the oil pans in the 2.7L. I cant remember if its the drain plug or the pan itself that leaks. So thats one thing to be aware of.Also I know the 01 intrepids had problems with harmonic balancers. In colder climates the sharp increase from cold to hot would cause the balancer to fall apart.
Looks like a nice car. They handle pretty good, but there also fairly long
