Default Door lock wiring question

I just installed a Bulldog security Deluxe 500 remote start/keyless entry system on my 98 1500.

Everything works but the lock feature. The unlock works fine but it wont lock remotely. There were 2 different lock wiring diagrams for this. A generic one, and one specifically for the dodge ram in my year range. The one in my year is the one I used and im beginning to think their diagram was wrong.

This is the one they give for my truck.

And this is the generic one in the install manual

Does anybody have this same remote start kit, or know what the problem might be in the wiring? As I stated the unlock works fine but the lock doesnt work from the remote. And the drawings seem to conflict themselves.

Our rams use a 5wire relay circuit for the locks (aka: PITA), I would try using the second diagram, looks closer to how the circuit works then the first one.

I wired mine the way you did (the first diagram) and it works fine. are you sure you have the right (ORANGE/violet) wire.you will find it in the drivers side kick pannel.it's a real pain in the *** to unplug the harness.

Does it matter if i tap into the wire at the kick panel or at the switch itself. I found it next to impossible for me to be able to splice in at the kick panel so i just fished wire into the door and taped in at the switch plug.
