Default rebuild or new

Alright guys i have a good one for everyone to argue about. I have a 99dodge ram with a 360 magnum with about 120000miles on her. She runs great but i'm always in the mood for performance. not for any special reason just like the rush heh. anyways i've been looking around and i can't decide if i want to rebuild the engine i have or go with a new one. was either thinking a 408 or a 440 if i build a new one, everything would be done by myself and would be from scratch but that would be ok cause i don't need this truck anytiem soon i have my 06 lol.

Anways i was wondering on your folks thoughts. i want to get atleast 400-450 hp out of either so let me here what u think and your ideas

well IIRC you can build a 408 out of the 360 block so that could save you some money if you're worried about that...

gas mileage might be slightly better with the 408 than the 440... but kinda hard to worry about that with these things anyway.

otherwise hell i'd be good to go for either one...

ah what the hell am i talking about..

440!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL....yeah you'd probably get 8.6 miles per gallon as opposed to 8.7 miles per gallon with the 408.....
