turn the key on, off, on, off, then on and keep it on.. the code should show up on your odometer.. (atleast mine does.. if you have a digital odometer) then look up the code on here.. go to search and type in the code and it should come up.. also you need to do it pretty quick.. took me acouple times to get it..

Did you back probe the iac to make sure its getting the right constant voltage and range of voltage?
Should see 5volts constant and .5-1.5 volts on the variable. (if memory serves correct)
If that is good, pull the iac out, leave the electrical connector attached to it and get someone to key on key off (to on/not start) the ignition multiple times to see if it goes in and out every time. (hold onto it while watching) After cleaning mine last year it worked better and didnt stumble as much but still wasnt right. I pulled it out and watched and you could see about 1 out of 10 key ons/offs it wouldnt move. Replaced it and the stumble was gone.

I cant comment on the noise end of it cause my truck between my hdrs, ypipe, h/f cat, gpack exit infront of rear tire and the Procharger under the hood you cant hear much of anything else when its running lol.

Well after finally getting the o2 out, the ram now is back to form. I hooked up the machine and it said short to voltage. So this must mean a bad wire in the o2 harness. Anyway this so far is my fix. Will have to get some miles on it. thx to all of your inputs. I will read often. This fix did'nt go without a hitch. My brother was manning the wrench will i was heating and it slipped off wacking himself in the nose. Little blood and sore but o.k.
