weird bumping under passenger floor board
well i let my friend drive my truck today as i sat in the passenger seat.. and nobody ever told me this but i can feel threw the floor board like somethings loose or theres a worn bushing.. its only on the passenger side because i've never noticed it when i drive.. whats under there that could be rattling around????
If its rattling it could be the cat, but you said you can feel it and i do not think you would be able to feel the cat rattle. But if you feel it knock under your foot going over bumps and stuff where the suspension is moving it could be worn out bushings on one of your control arms, if you can feel it pretty good then it is probably the bushings on the upper control arm.
ball joints most likley... in my case when i felt that "thud" in the floor board it ended up being my shock bushings.. watch carefully at your SHOCK TUBE , not the moveable pisto.. but the tube its self.. and push down on the truck a little bit.. if the shock tube it self moves up and down and little bit then its a sighn your bushing is shot...
i have all new rancho shocks on my truck.. and i really hope its not the ball joints those things are a pain to fix!..im thinking it is probally the upper control arm bushing.. or maybe its not tight enough.. when i put my 3 inch spacers in i unbolted the control arms and i probally just didnt tighten it up enough when i put it back on?? yeah it knocks.. doesnt rattle like metal on metal.. just feels like somebodys hitting the bottom but i'll go over the suspension tonight and check everything.. i plan on painting my axles and steering components tonight
it could be your control arm bushings. mine did that on both sides before i did the lift. every bump you hit its feels like someone is taping under your foot with a hammer.
