A/C not working right
To echo what miknwv says, you must charge the system with the engine running and the A/C system operating. When the service techs come to your house to inspect/recharge your household A/C, they always turn on the outside unit so that the compressor will run and "suck" refrigerant out of the charging bottle.
it's also a good idea to put a stick thermometer in your air vent while doing this. Get the outside temp, and whatever the AC blows will be about 20 degrees cooler than the outside air if its R134. Once you're done charging it, get in the truck and rev up to no higher htan 1500 rpms and see how much colder it blows.
