Default water in axle?..

Although my Ram is a '99, this post is about Ram's/drivetrain/flood damage in general. We had a record setting rain fall last night, and while I'm grateful my truck will not be totalled, I'm concerned about the drivetrain, axles in particular. It's sitting in about 2' of water now... Does the vent have a tube on it that goes to the frame?

Here's a picture of it/parking lot: http://faditara.smugmug.com/gallery/1602964/1/77861688

The Miata was safe and sound in the garage, otherwise I know it would have been totaled if I parked it outside because i always park on that side of the lot so I can see them from my balcony... it looks like the storm drains were clogged up...

FYI: Interstate-66 is closed, and the government has granted it's employees liberal leave. I drove the Miata last night from the bowling alley, and the water was up to the rocker panel in the parking lot.

Default RE: water in axle?..

There is a vent tube for each differential, but I would change the fluid in both axles when you get a chance....just to be safe.
