Blinkers turn on but dont blink, why?
hit the switch left or right, and it turns the corresponding bulbs on. it turns them on, but they dont blink. even the arrows on the dash stay lit. i cant figure it out, and i HATE most things electrical, so i need some help. thanks.
I believe this is usually caused by a bad flasher, which is a circle shape, usually located on the fuse block. They are a few bucks at the auto store, and pop right in and out.
Agreed ^^^
They're located in the little panel on the side of the dash that's accessible when you open the driver side door.
There's one for the turn signals and one for the emergency flashers.
Try your emergency flashers. Do they work?

I have to agree with Chopper on this one. I'd bet it is a bulb thats bad. Try having someone turn onturn signalswhile you walk around truck and verify that corresponding bulb is lit. just my guess...

Don't rely on the contact to the ball and receiver. Not a good ground.
Also make sure you have a "heavy duty" flasher in there. Another culprit.
Just an FYI and hope to help!
