I believe this is usually caused by a bad flasher, which is a circle shape, usually located on the fuse block. They are a few bucks at the auto store, and pop right in and out.

Agreed ^^^

They're located in the little panel on the side of the dash that's accessible when you open the driver side door.

There's one for the turn signals and one for the emergency flashers.

Try your emergency flashers. Do they work?

If those don't fix the problem, check the bulbs. In older cars a bad bulb or loose ground/contact would cause the same effect. Have you replaced any bulbs lately?

you have a shorted or bad flasher.

99% confident. unless you messed with wires and did a hack job replacing headlight bulbs won't do a thing.

I have to agree with Chopper on this one. I'd bet it is a bulb thats bad. Try having someone turn onturn signalswhile you walk around truck and verify that corresponding bulb is lit. just my guess...

If this happens, check your ground wire to the trailer. If the trailer is not grounded w/ the truck= lights no blinky blinky![sm=insomnia.gif]
Don't rely on the contact to the ball and receiver. Not a good ground.

Also make sure you have a "heavy duty" flasher in there. Another culprit.
Just an FYI and hope to help!
