Default A/C and check engine light

Sure could use some input/advice on an ongoing problem I have with my a/c. As soon as I turn on the a/c I get a check engine light. Here's the background on the problem: in 2002 my truck was in an accident which required work on the a/c system. As soon as I got my truck back from the first of several body shops, I experienced the problem. Took it to a mopar service shop and after a few times there they found a short or something. All in all they replaced the TPS and the PCM . But I believe they found that it was more of a shorting problem becasue the PCM didn't fix the problem nor did the TPS. Eventually they fixed it.

Dec 2004 my a/c ran out of refridgerant and had to be recharged as the compressor would not engage. I believe that was from the shabby work done on my truck from the accident. I don't put but a hundred miles or so on the truck a month anymore and had put only 6 k on the truck since the repairs. Allstate covered the recharging costs.

Now to the problem, last November I turned on the a/c and got the check engine light again. Took it to the dealership and they replaced two switches: clock spring and brake . Still had a check engine. They told me that I needed a new PCM. The one on my truck had a short, after 6k? I doubt that. I bought a remanufactured PCM (from Cardone) and put it in and guess what, check engine light. It 's the same PCM that the Dodge would have put in as they don't make new ones for the 98. Allstate would not cover the electronics replaced in the accident, so the PCM they put in 4 years ago was not covered under their lifetime warranty. I had to buy one.

I believe the problem is with the shabby repair work done on my a/c back in 02 To lose all of the R34 in December 04 two years after it was charged up and reoccurring check engine it has to be from the repair. It shows on the repair listing evacuate and recharge system. I never had any problems with it before the accident.

Also, back in December I installed Fastman TB and all new sensors that attach to it: map, iac and tps.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this nonsense? sorry for the long post
