have a 94 ram 2500 V10 with no seat belt dinger...............
my trucks seat belt dinger dosent work or the seat belt light I just bought the truck used. I was told with out the dinger and light for the seat belt not working that the overdrive unit will not work because they are tied into eachother does anyone have an answer or a link for a diagram on how to fix this problem or does anyone know where it is located in the truck and what it looks like
Thanks
Thanks
HUH? The overdrive won't work because the seatbelt dinger is dead? I've never heard of that before. And I'm not sure it's true. I disabled my dinger and my truck still shifts into OD.
My seatbelt light still works though. That's controlled by the seatbelt "receiver" or rather a wire inside it. It's common for those to malfunction over time. The one in my 90 Grand Prix blinks on and off if you wiggle the seat belt. [>:]
When you drive the truck, does it shift into overdrive? Does the light come on/turn off when you push the OD button on the dash.
EDIT: Wait a minute...these trucks don't even have seat belt dingers. [8D] The one I disabled was the door buzzer...for when you leave the key on and open the door (I hated that thing...sooo loud). I can't remember for sure if they have seatbelt lights or not. It's been a few weeks since I've driven my truck. [:'(]
